Car-O-Liner has been a proud sponsor of the AutoBody Repair Skill at WorldSkills competitions since 2009.

CAR-O-LINER NOW A WORLDSKILLS GLOBAL PARTNER

It is with great excitement that we announce that Car-O-Liner has become the latest company to join WorldSkills as a Global Partner.

After providing equipment and manpower to WorldSkills Competitions in the Autobody Repair Skill since 2009, Car-O-Liner now joins 20 other WorldSkills Global Partners and 80 countries who are part of the WorldSkills movement which helps young people change their lives through skills and training.

Reflecting on the past 10 years, it is fair to state that globally we’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen in the skills competitions which bring together young professionals from all over the world. These young people show great dignity as they seek excellence and that’s something we want to encourage and support, becoming a Global Partner was the next step to develop this relationship.

Alexander Amiri, Director Sponsorship and Partnership of WorldSkills International and an enthusiastic promoter of the spirit of WorldSkills, whom some of you have met, commented “Car-O-Liner supports young people in developing the skills needed to respond to rapidly changing industry,” He adds, “Like WorldSkills, Car-O-Liner values excellence in skills development and training.”

The partnership was finalized a few days ago just ahead of the WorldSkills General Assembly and Conference that took place in Amsterdam last week. This gave us the opportunity to present Car-O-Liner to the full audience, and while many of the delegates knew who we were from previous events, our commitment and continued support were very well received.

As a global leading knowledge and equipment provider for Automotive collision assessment and repair, we are already heavily involved in skills education, training thousands of young people in industry-critical tasks such as accurately measuring vehicle damages to repairing cars according to the highest standards defined by the manufacturers.

As we experience every day, car repair is an increasingly highly skilled profession. We still need hammers and panel beaters, yet our young professionals now additionally need IT skills as modern cars are so sophisticated. They are no longer metal-built machines but increasingly turn into what are basically computers on wheels.

We will now be in a position to communicate much more intensively about our partnership with WorldSkills, use their communication material throughout the year and generate additional interest. Please note that while our agreement covers WorldSkills International, we are not obliged to participate in every local/national/regional competition taking place during the year. We'll use this as an asset and engage our audience where appropriate.

We see this as an investment in our brand and in immediate and future business creation as we are now the recognized standard in the Autobody Repair Skill on an international basis.

We are excited by WorldSkills. As Global Partner we want to engage in more national competitions and help boost visibility and take part in new projects.

WorldSkills is building a Skills Museum in Shanghai as a first permanent “Home” that will be accessible to the General Public. While the concept has to be finalized, it will be a combination of a traditional museum with exhibits from the 68 years of WorldSkills history and an interactive component where young people will engage in educational endeavors.

The next WorldSkills global competitions will take place in Kazan (Russia, 22-27 August 2019) and Shanghai (PRC, 22-27 September 2021).
